HUGS in December12/11/2009In early December Oakwood 5th graders got together with their Kindergarten HUGS partners to help them with holiday craft projects! 
Veterans Day11/11/2009On November 11 Oakwood students honored our country's veterans at the annual Veterans Day assembly. The next day, Oakwood 4th, 5th, 8th, and 1st grade students in Mrs. Carnighan's class were honored by a visit from Rep. Walter B. Jones of North Carolina's 3rd Congressional district. 
Fall Fun Day10/30/2009Fall Fun Day was a great way to end the first quarter at Oakwood. The character parade, lid-gig, upper school carnival for the lower school students, variety shows, middle and upper school skating party, and bonfire were enjoyed by all! 
Eagle Classic10/23/2009Oakwood families topped off the Eagle Classic day by having a wonderful time at The Family Fest! 
Grandparents Day10/14/2009Oakwood lower and middle school students hosted their grandparents and special friends on Friday, October 9. It was a wonderful day! 
Senior Adoption09/18/2009Oakwood's seniors have all been "adopted" by adoring lower and middle school classes. Adoption ceremonies were held in early September. |
