Extended Day Program
and the After School Program

The Oakwood School has two distinct programs for students in the hours after classes are dismissed.

Extended Day Program
This program is for students who need to be supervised between dismissal time and 6:00 p.m. The charge for this program is $70.00 per week (Weekly) or $7.00 per hour (Hourly). The Extended Day Program is not available on noon dismissal days. Students not picked up at announced dismissal time will be assessed a fee at the rate of $7.00 per hour.

After School Care
This program is for students who are dismissed and need to be supervised until a sibling or car-pooler is dismissed. An example would be a First Grader (dismissed at 2:30) who has an older sibling in Sixth Grade (dismissed at 3:15). At dismissal, After School students will meet in a designated area and be supervised by Teacher Assistants. Each dismissal time (2:45, 3:00 and 3:15) will be announced and those students leaving at those times will be escorted to the front of the school to be picked up. There is no charge for this program. Any student not picked up by 3:25 will be sent to the Extended Day program and a $7.00 fee will be charged.

Before-School Care Program
The Oakwood School offers a supervised program from 7:30-8:00 a.m. In order to insure the safety of our students who arrive before the opening of school at 8:00, students will be supervised in a general location. The charge for this service is $3.50. If parents do not see an assistant on the walkway, their children need to go to the Before-School Care Program or stay with their parents. When the flags are raised, the school is open.
