MISSION STATEMENT: The P.S.A. exists to further the school’s vision, through volunteer work within the school, fundraising, education, and special events.

Each Oakwood School Parent is a member of the PSA and is encouraged to attend and participate in meetings and events. Please review the events on the website and sign up to volunteer for one or more activities by filling out the Parent Volunteer form. Participation in these activities provides an opportunity for parents to develop a closer relationship with the school community, to be more knowledgeable about school programs, and to become better acquainted with the faculty and administration.

FUNDRAISERS

Sally Foster Sale
August 21 – September 21 – (Chair: Ellen Engels) If you have enough wrapping paper in your closet, encourage your friends and family to support The Oakwood School by filling their closets with this high quality wrapping paper.

Grandparents and Special Friends Day
October 9 – (Chair: Renee Yongue) This event allows students' grandparents and other special friends to learn about the school and meet their grandchildren's teachers.

Eagle Classic Golf Tournament
October 23 – (Golf, Tennis and Family Festival chaired by the Eagle Classic Committee) This first annual event includes fun for all: whether you enjoy tennis, golf, or just having fun with your family and friends..we have it all! Sign up for golf, tennis, volunteering or just come out and enjoy games, music and a buffet at Brook Valley Country Club that evening. We will include some auction traditions in this event, so you can have your auction fix without the fuss! Details to follow.

Epicurian Adventure
March 26 – If you missed the auction, do not worry! We have a new adventure awaiting you to hit the town with your evening gown. Enjoy dinner with other Oakwood parents.  Who will they be? You will have to wait and see at Oakwood’s very own, Guess Who is Coming to Dinner? Details to follow.

Spring Festival
April 16 – We have just moved the Fall Festival to the Spring, with a twist. We will provide all of the same games and booths you love from the Fall Festival, with some new additions.  Details to follow.

Earn Cash for OAKWOOD
Help earn free money for our school by re-linking your Harris Teeter VIC Card ( Harris Teeter) and your Food Lion MVP card (Food Lion MVP)and by applying in the store or online at Target.com for the Target Visa and designating Oakwood.

We always look forward to many of our other favorite traditions including the new family orientation, back to school volunteer fair, the student store, community service and teacher appreciation events.
