Dear Oakwood Community and Friends,

SAVE THE DATE!  Clear your calendar and reserve a babysitter for Friday, April 12th, 2013 at the Hilton Greenville.  The Annual Oakwood Auction Dinner & Fundraiser is a CAN'T miss event, and this year we'll be 'Rocking to the 1950's' style!  It is sure to be a spectacular night of dinner and fun-filled events including a silent and live auction, chance baskets, raffle, dancing, and a special performance by "The Oakwoodettes."  This year, mingle and enjoy the night without having to hover over your favorite auction item, thanks to new hand-held BidPal technology.  You can bid for a must have item from the comfort of your seat!  Want a sneak preview?  Click HERE to see our very own headmaster and his wife rocking to the 50's!

Two years ago, The Oakwood School's Auction raised over $57,000 in vital funds.  Your donations helped supplement The Oakwood School's operating budget.  Our goal this year is to exceed $60,000 and for the first time this year to "make a difference in the world" by supporting local community organizations, GO-Science and the Greenville-Pitt County Chamber of Commerce Teen Leadership Institute (TLI) as part of this auction fundraiser.

Your generous tax-deductible donations make our auction fundraising event possible.  Every contribution impacts both the students at The Oakwood School and the Greater Greenville community.  We are currently seeking support through donations of auction items, business sponsorships and family hosts of our event, and advertising in the auction book.

Sponsors/Hosts and advertisers are critical to the success of our fundraising event, as well as provide valuable advertising and marketing opportunities for you!  See attached Sponsorship/Host Benefits + Levels.  Hurry soon!  To ensure all the advertising benefits, reservations must be received no later than March 22, 2013.  Of course, we will continue to accept sponsorships and hosts but cannot guaranty the benefits after this date. 

CALL FOR DONATION OF AUCTION ITEMS + SERVICES!

We are currently accepting donations of auction items and services!  Examples of donated auction items and services include vacation packages, household items, electronics, wellness and spa packages, landscaping services, golf, beauty and cosmetic services, medical laser procedures, and furniture.  Additional information is attached.  In exchange for your donation, we will proudly recognize and display your item at the auction and on our website as well as listed in the auction catalogue.  Friday, April 5, 2013 is your deadline for delivering donated auction items.  Remember that the sooner we receive your auction item, the sooner we can advertise you on the website!
