Endowments
Endowment is Oakwood’s savings account and provides long-term financial stability. Proceeds from the investment of our endowment can be used to pay expenses not covered by tuition, the Annual Fund, or other income. On an ongoing basis, Oakwood encourages the establishment of endowed funds to support School programs such as financial aid, faculty salaries and professional development, as well as specific academic, athletic, and co-curricular programs.
Once all funds are received, donors will be recognized on our major donor engraved wall plaque at the School. Endowment naming will be recognized in all published literature. Of course, we acknowledge to the fullest extent all gifts in our ongoing recognition programs and publications. The Oakwood School recognizes the cumulative gifts of our more generous donors who are invited and honored at our Major Donor Appreciation gatherings, hosted by our Head of School.
