There is something special about the start of a new school year at Oakwood. Seeing old friends, welcoming new families, and watching our students take another step in their growth is something to look forward to every year.
As we begin another exciting year at Oakwood, we are coming off an incredible 30th Anniversary celebration and looking ahead to what promises to be our largest school enrollment ever. This is a wonderful reflection of the strength of the Oakwood community and the confidence families have in our school.
And to our new Oakwood families—welcome! You are joining much more than a school; you are becoming part of a community that genuinely cares about its students and families. We hope you quickly feel at home and discover the many ways you can become part of the Oakwood community.
As the Parent Service Association, our goal is simple: to bring our families, students, faculty, and staff together while supporting and enriching the Oakwood experience for every student. The PSA is about creating those moments that happen outside the classroom—the friendships, traditions, celebrations, and memories that our children will carry with them long after they leave Oakwood.
We are excited to start the year with some of our favorite PSA traditions, including our Back to School Social along with Tears and Cheers Breakfast. We are also thrilled to bring back our largest PSA fundraiser, Charleston Wrap. These events and fundraisers allow us to support our school while giving our families opportunities to come together and build connections.
Lastly, everyone is welcome to be part of the PSA. You do not have to attend every meeting, volunteer at every event, or have a particular role to get involved. Whether you can give an hour, volunteer at an event, help with a fundraiser, or simply bring an idea to the table, there is a place for you. The PSA is strongest when our entire Oakwood family participates. Thank you for being part of Oakwood, and we look forward to seeing you around campus!
