The Oakwood School is a PK3-12, coed, non-sectarian independent school in Greenville, NC, setting the bar with hands-on, experiential learning that teaches the whole child.
Admissions
The Oakwood School seeks students who demonstrate characteristics consistent with the mission of the school. The goal of the admissions process is to determine whether Oakwood is a good environment for the student's social, emotional, and intellectual development.
Academics
As educators, we establish a school climate that nurtures student growth so that our students will ultimately become independent, wise, creative, thoughtful, and engaged citizens who can manage their time, work in a team, set goals, and problem solve effectively.
Athletics
At The Oakwood School, the interscholastic athletic program is an important part of the student’s experience. Oakwood is committed to providing competitive opportunities through interscholastic, recreational, and intramural sports programs.
Fine Arts
The Fine Arts programs at Oakwood offer wonderful experiences that serve as a catalyst for students to explore and realize their creative potential. We have created a very intentional arts curriculum knowing that the arts are an essential and critical part of human expression and the human experience.

Get Involved
One of the founding principles of Oakwood was to encourage parent participation and become an integral part of the school. Parent volunteer groups support our students through the generosity of their time and resources helping strengthen student programs, build community, and provide support for our faculty.

Eagle Bus Service

We are excited to announce the launch of our morning Eagle Bus Service! This new service is designed to provide a convenient transportation option for our families, initially focusing on the Winterville area.

Bus Route and Schedule:

7:30 AM: Pickup at AMC Theater parking lot
7:40 AM: Pickup at Marabella Pizza Winterville parking lot

To keep the Eagle Bus Service affordable, we’ve carefully estimated the costs to cover our bus driver, fuel, maintenance, and general upkeep. Billing will be managed through FACTS according to the payment plan selected by each family. The rates are as follows:

$500 per year for one student
$800 per year for a family with two or more students

We are pleased to have Ms. Keisha Stanley, our dedicated Eagles Landing Coordinator and member of our maintenance staff, as the driver for this service.

*Please note that due to safety and car seat regulations, the Eagle Bus Service is available only for rising Kindergarten through 12th grade students.
