The Oakwood School has partnered with New Oasis International Education to help international students with the admissions process and assist with their transition to the school and their new experience in the United States.
New Oasis International Education’s mission is to bridge the gaps between opportunity and success within international education to improve the quality of U.S. study abroad opportunities for international students.
Founded in 2008 in Herndon, Virginia, New Oasis partners with The Oakwood School and more than 50 of the most competitive independent high schools in the United States. New Oasis places students with host families as well as assists with their transition into American academics and culture.
The education service provides a host family for students, in which they will become a member of a typical American family for a full immersion experience, for a period of ten months. Students are then given a local coordinator and an academic advisor to assist with scheduling and everyday academic life. Many students will stay in the program and attend an American university upon completion.
